DESCRIPTION:
The HIM Consultant contributes to the fulfillment of Health Information Management Services (medical record processing, auditing and review, third party billing and accounts receivable collection) within Personal Group, Inc. for various healthcare clients through the following duties:* Performing medical record processing services including code assignment, review and auditing, abstracting, data entry within quality and proficiency standards;
* Reviewing technical delivery of services and quality assurance in medical records processing services.
* Performing special assignments as directed and/or issue special instruction to any staff that will enhance quality service to customers;
* Consulting with clients to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare information management and revenue cyle enhancement.
* Travel as necessary to fulfill client obligations.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or related field with professional designations (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC) required. Minimum of 3 years experience in management or consulting positions with demonstrated achievement. Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and organization skills.
